DEADLINE FOR SESSION SUBMISSIONS:

Preparations are underway for the Association of Test Publishers
(ATP) 2008 Conference – Innovations in Testing, to be held March 3-5, 2008 in
Dallas, Texas at the Gaylord Texan Resort.
One-hour breakout sessions, 2.5-hour workshops and poster sessions are the foundation of the ATP
Conference’s educational program. These presentations give conference attendees an opportunity to learn about testing and assessment research, best practices, and practical applications.
Proposals for breakout sessions, workshops and poster sessions are
invited through a ‘Call for Papers’ available at the ATP
conference website:

Submission Guidelines
Please
read the submission guidelines below before submitting your breakout
session, workshop or poster session abstract(s):

All abstracts
must be submitted via the ATP Conference’s Online Session
Submission by midnight Eastern Daylight Time, August 6, 2007.
-
Each session abstract may have a maximum of 150
words. The abstracts of accepted sessions will be placed on the
ATP Conference website and printed in the Conference Program Guide.

All session submitters must provide a brief biography (maximum of
150 words) for each proposed presenter. Each biography should
include the presenters
name, title, organizational affiliation, and e-mail address.

All presenters must attend the conference on the assigned day of their presentation.
-
Breakout session presenters, workshop presenters and poster session
presenters must register and pay the registration fee to attend
the ATP conference. Presenters are offered a discount
conference registration rate of $595.00 for the 2008 Conference.

Sessions should include innovative ideas or approaches, cutting edge technology
or
best practices in technology-based testing applications.
Submissions judged by ATP reviewers to be simply advertisements
for products and services or overly promotional in
nature will be rated lower and may not be accepted.

ATP encourages organizations to submit as many proposals as they
wish. ATP reserves the right to combine session proposals and to
balance the number of breakouts sessions,
workshops and/or poster sessions submitted by any given
individual company
or organization. ATP also reserves the right to edit session titles
and abstracts for marketing purposes.

ATP encourages session submitters to collaborate with other testing innovators
by
submitting a symposium proposal or a session with a common theme or
focus.

It will
not be possible to guarantee a particular day and time for each
presentation.

What
is a Breakout Session?
A breakout session is a 60 minute interactive presentation on topics that are of interest to the attendees of ATP’s Annual Innovations in Testing Conference. Each session typically includes one or more individual presenters or a panel of presenters.

What
is a Workshop?
A workshop is a 2 ½ hour block of time where participants learn and interact through structured group exercises. Workshops cover a variety of interest areas for individuals who want hands-on experience.. Workshops include multiple individuals or a panel of presenters.

What
is a Poster Session?
A poster session may be a traditional paper-based poster or an electronic (displayed on a computer) presentation lasting about 6 minute. Attendees are encouraged to review the poster session displays within the one hour and forty-five minutes allotted for this part of the conference educational program. Presenters are expected to stay with the poster during that time for discussion and to answer questions.
